Investment Manager at LaunchVic - Alice Andersen Fund
Michelle Vu is the Investment Manager at LaunchVic, where she oversees the Alice Anderson Fund. With responsibility for managing a portfolio of over 40 early-stage ventures, Michelle provides financial analysis, reporting, and advisory support to the executive team and board.
A qualified CPA, Michelle has a wealth of experience in corporate financial services, including roles in management accounting, financial planning, and fund analysis.
About Launch Vic
LaunchVic is Victoria's startup agency, driving the growth of the state's startup ecosystem. They empower Victorians with the skills and confidence to start, grow, invest in, or work for globally impactful tech startups.
The Alice Anderson Fund is LaunchVic’s $10 million sidecar fund supporting women-led startups.
The Fund co-invests between $50,000 and $300,000 in early-stage deals put forward by
investors to increase the funding pool available to Victorian women.
Pamela Sutton-Legaud
CEO - Small Business Mentoring Services (SBMS)
Pamela Sutton-Legaud is the CEO of SBMS. Pamela is responsible for overseeing over 140 business mentors delivering programs and services to Victorian businesses, both established and start-ups, developing business acumen and resilience.
Pamela has an MBA, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Standford University where she studies Social entrepreneurship. Pamela is also the author of The Fundraiser’s Handbook, an essential guide for non-profit organisations. Pamela was also recognised as a Victorian Telstra Businesswoman of the Year.
About SBMS
The Small Business Mentoring Service (SBMS) is a not-for-profit organization providing affordable, expert mentoring to small business owners across Australia. With a network of experienced volunteer mentors, SBMS offers practical guidance on all aspects of business management, from startup to growth, through both online and in-person sessions. Supported by the Victorian State Government, SBMS empowers entrepreneurs to navigate challenges and achieve sustainable business success.
Katya Ellis
MC and Founder of Strategy to Impact
Katya Ellis is the founder of Strategy to Impact. Katya has worked with hundreds of businesses on strategy development as an advisor and mentor. She has extensive experience in producing large-scale engagement and outreach events connecting government and industry. As well as promotional events in the creative sectors including Melbourne and New York Fashion Weeks.
Katya is also a university educator teaching at RMIT and the Australian Institute of Music, and delivers business strategy workshops on behalf of local councils.
Katya has completed postgraduate courses at Harvard Business School specialising in Business Strategy and Sustainable Business Strategy.
